Night Moves
by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
The American rock singer-songwriter's ninth album was his first fully credited with the Silver Bullet Band. Seger achieved his commercial breakthrough and nationwide success with this album that also included "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" and "Mainstreet," becoming his best-selling album to date.

Seger wrote the title track as a coming of age tale about adolescent love and adult memory of it; it was based on Seger's own teenage love affair he experienced in the early 1960s, attempting to capture the "freedom and looseness" he experienced during that period of his life. The song was responsible for changing Seger from being a popular regional favorite into a national star, and was named Single of the Year by Rolling Stone for 1977.
