"We're Gonna Have A Real Good Time Together"
by The Velvet Underground
#TheFirstTime I tried out my brand new super-sonic HiFi in February 1987 was with the newly bought album "Another View" by The Velvet Underground which was ALSO #TheFirstTime I ever bought a CD album!
The hiFi was the one I'd been waiting for all my life. All separate items ( Record deck, CD player, Twin cassette deck, Amplifier, Graphic equaliser , Tuner and a pair of enormous speakers ) coming to a total cost of £1,250 ( remember, this was 30 years ago. That was a LOT of money for a HiFi then!

Now really, I should have bought a "sound test card" album of some kind , like Pink Floyd or Mike Oldfield or something and The V.U. are really an Arty garage band tbh but they were MY band and the first play had to be special.
I put on the first track ( this one) after initially being baffled by the workings of CD technology!! Lol!
I pumped it up real loud ....the bass too .....and then felt the walls vibrate.

WHHOOOOO-OOOAAAAAAAA YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( was my reaction ) :-)

*******I'm going to be busy tomorrow ( Sunday ) so my FINAL #TheFirstTime post will be on Monday morning and it will include ( yes, you guessed it!) ANOTHER story of mine from the past!! Hope you can join me

*******AND DESPITE GJB being only half as active as it used to be , I still think that this theme has been the BEST EVER....... Seriously.......The eagerness to get involved, the quality of the personal story telling and particularly the opening of hearts has absolutely staggered me.

Thank you for taking part.
