I Only Have Eyes For You
by Art Garfunkel
I had no intention of posting this, but I heard it a few weeks ago and it kept just leaping back into my head. I remember it from the time it was a slightly surprising UK number one hit single in 1975, and in those days your radio didn't reveal the slightly alarming and batty stereo separation, but I think one can take that in one's stride.

I think it's a wonderful song. Here's Wikipedia: "I Only Have Eyes for You" is a romantic love song by composer Harry Warren and lyricist Al Dubin, written for the film Dames (1934) where it was introduced by Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler. The song is a jazz standard, and has been covered by numerous musicians. Successful recordings of the song have been made by Ben Selvin (in 1934), The Flamingos (in 1959), The Lettermen (in 1966) and Art Garfunkel (in 1975), among others."
