A World Without Love
by Peter and Gordon
I could have sworn I posted this before, but GJB says no. It's adorable, anyway.

Though I shouldn't post it really because Peter Asher is Jane Asher's brother, and we have a family grudge against Jane. My husband once sent a stamped addressed envelope for a cake recipe from her and it never arrived. Then - and this is a true story - I was once almost interviewed by Hello! magazine when my first novel was published. I spent all morning buffing up my damp, messy bungalow in north London in anticipation of possible photographers, then I got a phone call saying the interview was off because "something had come up." When the issue came out I discovered that Jane Asher had published a book the same week and they'd given up my half page to her. Presumably her damp, messy bungalow was more photogenic than mine. And there's the fact that I never went out with a Beatle or appeared in Holby City or any of that. Still, my book got a little review and the magazine had a photo of Hugh Grant in leather trousers on the cover, so it wasn't all bad.

And the song is still adorable.

My musical tastes are probably stuck in the First Vinyl Age, but I never give up hope of hearing a new song that's as good as Primitive Painters by Felt. https://www.suehaasler.com
