Stop Running Out On Love!
by The Incredible Sharons
#FistyFrolics

Between 1987 and 1992, I wrote and recorded a number of tracks in my bedroom at my parental home.

Granny's sad passing in 1986 had resulted in a mention in her will, which enabled the purchase of a synthesiser, a drum machine and a four track recording studio.

These years were littered with activity and it was lots of fun. I wanted to make something that would make me and my friends laugh.

This particular song was written with the intention of ripping off the tempo and rhythm of 'I'm Your Man' by Wham! All similarity ends there.

The Incredible Sharons included Sharon and Sharon on vocals and Venus De Milo on instruments and backing vocals. In the real world this included my friends Ruth and Kathryn.

This was not an attempt to record 'proper' music or conquer the world. We were just entertaining ourselves. There are more tracks in the MF vault, which I might just torture you with in the future.

The Incredible Sharons met an untimely end in 1990, when they were tragically killed by a runaway steamroller in Staffordshire.

Rest in pieces.

Lurker and occasional twerker. I made a conscious decision, because of Kate Bush, to not run up hills.
