Axol's current selection is:
Dumb Blonde
by Dolly Parton
#FiftyYearsAgo #Celebrating1967 No. 21.

"I may be blonde but I ain't nobody's fool".

Feminism, or protofeminism if you like, on record, gets its modern incarnation in an unlikely setting; taking several lyric phrases from the "Classic Blues Singers" of the '20s and '30s. Written by Curly Putman who died last year.

This is the opening track from the first album with her as featured artist "Hello, I'm Dolly". Also put out as a single in '67.
1967 - The album was released in Feb. 1967
