Axol's current selection is:
Mortuos Plango, vivos voco
by Jonathan Harvey
#SpectralWeek No. 4. Not being a musician or schooled in music theory and having listened to quite a few pieces, Spectral Music sounds to me like Bells on Sunday but on Acid. The Beatles did it, with the massive chord at the end of "A Day In The Life". George Martin probably knew more of what was going on with that chord than The Fabs did themselves, bless 'em. What distinguishes the same note or chord played on different instruments are the overtones and that constitutes timbre, so I have been reading. Computer analysis of the note and its overtones gives rise to a musical spectrum. This is the raw material that a composer employs if using The Spectral technique.
