Lost, Lonesome and a Long Way From Home
by The Waterboys
Hard to believe that this album is over 30 years old, but doesn't it still sound great. I was having a "plough through the vinyl" evening and this particular album brought back happy memories.

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while, and thank you all for the lovely messages on my last post (made me quite emotional)

I hope you're all doing well, especially you lovely peeps who've reached out and pinged me on other social media outlets or messenger (you know who you are).

I'm slowly getting back into music and my good friend @ian38018 has offered me a ticket to see Grace Petrie this Friday at a local venue, so I'm looking forward to that.

The chemotherapy cycles all finished about 8-9 weeks ago, and my post-chemo CT scan showed that they had been quite successful. The liver tumours have all been reduced by about 50%. Oncology consultant not keen to give me any definite prognosis (understandably) but he DIDN'T say "book your hospice place now" so I guess I have a little more time :)
So for now it's 6 weekly monitoring visits to the hospital (prodded and bloods taken) and 12 weekly CT scans to see when the cancer decides it will begin to grow again.

Frustrated that my energy levels have not returned to anything close to normal yet, and it seems that the loss of feeling in my fingers and feet (from the chemo) is probably permanent. But hey, I've managed to watch all 5 series of Line Of Duty and I'm enjoying short trips to catch up with old friends and colleagues - all good.

Juke on Jukers!

I'm not a saint, but I'm not the worst. Yes, I'm a sinner but I'm not the last or the first. Deep down inside, oh you know that I'm good, and I just done the best Lord, done the best that I could
