Bomberboy's current selection is:
My Fathers Eyes
by Eric Clapton
#roundrobin

When Roger Daltrey released his “One of The Boys” album he recruited a load of musicians most of them household names to help him get the record to the public including (but not exclusively) Rod Argent, Hank Marvin, Various members of the Who and E.C. himself. (actually its almost a cast of 1000s)

Therefore this step sets up quite nicely for the last one

The song was released in 1998 as a single and also included on the Album “Pilgrim” though had been performed by the man from about 1992 but in different formats

The song is essentially about the fact that Eric never met his father who died in 1985 but also touches the death of his son Connor who fell from an apartment window aged 4

It won the 1999 BMI award as “Song of the Year” and 1999 Grammy as “Best Pop Vocal” Chart success was mixed though 33 in the UK with a best of 3 in Poland and 7 in the Adult Contemporary Billboard chart as its best in the US charting 20 times across the globe and finishing #5 in the year end Canadian Adult Contemporary chart

I’m counting this as a #sundaysmoother and shows off a rather nice Clapton Slide guitar

Final one tomorrow

The first selection of a live rendition of this was blocked in 184 countries but none of the other videos were locked at all is that just weird?
