Bomberboy's current selection is:
New Comedown
by Plague Vendor
I saw Starcrawler in the City last night they were exactly as I might have expected... which is great enough but these guys were supporting.

Unusually I had done NO investigations or research about them so they were completely new to me. They said they were from California and I think that means the Town (?) of Whittier

This is their 3rd album so they have been around for a while they are a punk band their PR material suggests this album is different to the first 2.. remains to be seen. They are a punk band and most of the time I found myself thinking this is a cross between iggy Pop and The Dead Kennedys at their best: not that that its relevant who they sound like

The band were certainly on fire and the crowd fell into their groove immediately.

Lead singer is TALL Brandon Blaine must be 7ft.. or so it looked.. (he’s standing on a monitor in the picture, but nonethelss) for 95% of the time he stood looking like a writhing shadow whilst the rest of the band had lights on them, He demanded no flash photography from a punter.. he danced with some guys (who might have been an entourage) he was extremely energetic and acrobatic and stood on the drum kit at one point and musically it kept hitting my spot.. so I have this LP on evaluation and the other 2 on the back burner

Brandon Blaine – Vocals
Luke Perine – Drums
Michael Perez – Bass
Jay Rogers – Guitar

Sharon Van Etten tonight...
