MikeLowe's current selection is:
My Ship Is Coming In
by The Walker Brothers
Sad news today about the passing of Scott Walker.

For me, "My Ship Is Coming In" is about as perfect a "pop record" as it's possible to make.

Although I probably only have a couple of their original singles from the mid '60's, The Walker Brothers always had a soft spot in my heart. I think they were the first big pop group I saw live. (but my old memory is too fuzzy to remember that with any certainty!!)

I do remember the excitement they created and they rocked far harder live, than their hit singles of the time.

Back on #TIMJ I posted The Walkers belting out the old soul classic "Land of A Thousand Dances", when I was posting something about #MyFirstGig so here's a replay of that as well.

As I wrote at the time "Have you ever seen Scott so animated and those hips and trousers of John's should have a health warning!!!" Happy days..... RIP Scott
