We Are The Moles Part 1

Some groovy underground music for you.

Song about an animal

The Moles were actually Simon Dupree and the Big Sound who sang a gorgeous song called 'Kites' which is on my Jam list - I nearly went for that under the pretence that they are referring to Red Kites of the feathered variety but I'll save it for another day...

Interesting fact, no one in Simon Dupree and the Big Sound was called Simon or even Dupree. They were three brothers, Derek, Phil, and Ray Shulman and they later went on to form Gentle Giant along with Martin Smith, Kerry Minnear and Gary Green. I had considered GG's song Black Cat as it's pretty fab.

This track apparently inspired The Dukes of Stratosphear's (XTC's) Mole From the Ministry.
