Believer
by John Maus, feat. Joseph Maus, bass
Joseph Maus (1988 to 2018) was an American bass player, for his brother John Maus. Joseph Scott Maus was born in Austin, Minnesota, USA, on January 6th 1988, eight years after his sibling John, who would go on to be a significant musical artist, and latterly also the younger man's bandmate. Not much can be discovered about the younger brother's life outside of his involvement with his elder sibling, but it is known that he had maintained pretty much a nine-to-five job during most of his twenties while providing bass lines for his brother's band on record and on tour. More recently he had given up his job completely to join John Maus as his bassist for a year-long worldwide tour, alongside Luke Darger on keyboards and Jonathan Thompson on drums (the tour first began on August 15th 2017). Joseph Maus died on July 28th 2018 in Cesis, Latvia, while on that tour with his brother. He was just 30, and John Maus cancelled all remaining dates following his brother's demise in order to return home. (The cause of his passing was later announced as being from complications of a previously undiagnosed heart condition.) http://www.clashmusic.com/news/joseph-maus-john-maus-brother-collaborator-has-died

† REST IN PEACE †
Hundreds of very talented musicians pass away each year, some without much recognition at all. On "Rest In Peace", I aim to give them a fitting 'send-off', with a decent Tribute. I hope you will join me in marking their passing.....
