Just I Was Born
by Blues Creation
Formed in 1969 in Tokyo by guitarists Kazuo Takeda and Koh Eiryu, and singer Fumio Nunoya, Blues Creation released their self-titled debut of American blues covers in 1969, featuring songs written by Sonny Boy Williamson, Memphis Slim, Chester Burnett, John Mayall, Eric Clapton, Blind Willie Johnson, Willie Dixon and Otis Rush.

Following this first record, Takeda would change the line-up, adding Hiromi Osawa on vox, Masashi Saeki on bass, and Akiyuki Higuchi on drums. The result was the now cultishly legendary (or is it legendarily cultish?) Demon & Eleven Children, released in 1971

As with many cult records, Demon & Eleven Children took decades to achieve that status. The record went largely unnoticed, especially outside of Japan. The remainder of 1971 would find a re-organized Blues Creation paired with singer Carmen Maki, and they'd also release a live record, Blues Creation Live.

By 1972 Takeda had broken up the group and moved back to London where he befriended American hard rock group Mountain. Takeda would actually tour Japan with Mountain in 1975.
