Yesterday, I posted a track from Japan based female metal group Valkylie from 1986.

Well, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, here's Valkyrie.

Following the release of Valkylie's cassette demo, Lamia Shock!, the band changed singers and changed their name to Valkyrie in 1987. They released another demo in 1989, but eventually split up in 1991.

...Until original members Shuko, Atsuko, and Miho reformed in 2015 with a new member, Bun, on vox and rhythm guitar. True to their roots, they self-released a demo EP on CD-R in 2017, and a new full length album in 2018 - 29 years since their last cassette. (And here I thought Tool was playing the long game in between albums.)

Maybe there's something here about the enduring quality of metal, or maybe something schmaltzy, like "always follow your dreams." I don't know.

Also, dudes shooting hoops! Enjoy!

I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar. That much is true.
