Thecoverguy's current selection is:
The Good The Bad & The Ugly
by Hugo Montenegro
Written by Ennio Morricone for Sergio Leone's 1966 film of the same name but never released as a single.

Owing to its make up and instrumental ideas nobody considered that it could be covered and taken into the charts. However, that's what American orchestra leader Hugo Montenegro did. Changing the tempo to a more rock one and utilising synthesizers he created a different sort of vibe and Allmusic, reviewing the song, say its "better to dance to"

It reached #2 in the Billboard hot 100 #3 in Canada and spent 4 weeks on top of the UK charts.

Much to my surprise I can't see its been posted on here #bestSixtiespop. A nod to my alter-ego @One_Chord_Wonder who posted excerpts from the film https://www.godsjukebox.com/One_Chord_Wonder/ennio-morricone-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly-final-theme-ecstasy-of-gold-and-triple-duel/
