Written by Fred Burch & Marijohn Wilkin in 1961 the first recording was by Jerry Lee Lewis and his pumping Piano which appeared in September of that year

3 years later Ted Taylor released a version (Love is like A) Ramblin Rose with additional credits to Obrey Wilson

In 1969 MC5 recorded a version said to be influenced by Ted's version on their #debuts album a live recording from 1968 in Detroit. The single didn't chart but the album did at #30 in the Billboard Hot 200

The footage on the video is from a 1970 concert at Tartar Field Wayne State University Detroit and blistering it is too...
