Written by songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman in 1972 it was released as a non'LP single in 1972 and reached #4 in the UK Subsequently they included it on the US album The Sweet and released it as a single it climbed to #3 in the Billboard Hot 100

It also made #1 in Canada Denmark & Germany plus top 10 almost everywhere else

I saw that @Popsickle posted this today https://www.godsjukebox.com/Popsickle/sweet-little-willy/ and was reminded that Poison recorded it for their final LP in 2007. It was a Covers album Little Willy was a new cut 1 of 5 the other 9 had been previously released
