ThomasOShea's current selection is:
The Last Thing You Should Do // Quicksand
by David Bowie (with Robert Smith)
#Day23 of the #AprilMusicChallenge - 'A song that everyone should listen to'

As I mentioned in a comment on yesterday's selection, I don't usually respond well to directives such as the one for this theme, as I'm very inclined to be sceptical if even close friends tell me 'W/X/Y/Z is the greatest TV show/film/album/book, you absolutely must watch/see/listen to/read it'.

So instead, here's a performance (it's actually two separate songs in one clip) that I think a lot of people will enjoy listening to, which I was originally saving to use as my 400th selection before taking up the Challenge. It was filmed the day after Bowie turned 50, the show being billed as David Bowie and Friends: A Very Special Birthday Concert.

As well as Robert Smith, some of the other "Friends" included Lou Reed, Frank Black and Billy Corgan - the full setlist (and who guested on what) can be found here: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/david-bowie/1997/madison-square-garden-new-york-ny-63d0ea97.html.

'Quicksand' has been posted on six previous occasions, but 'The Last Thing You Should Do' (from the Earthling album of 1995) doesn't yet appear to have been. I've attempted not to repeat any artists during all this, but I think this is worth making an exception for.
