Amelia (Joni 75 A Birthday Celebration)
by Diana Krall
Back from holiday after a good dose of warm sun!

Went to see the screening of 'Joni 75' this week.
Which is a recording (soon to be released on DVD I guess) of a birthday celebration for Joni Mitchell.
Turned out to be a good evening, one of those when people quietly join in and even applaud the screen.
Quite a few stand out performances.
For us this number by Diana Krall was one of them, it's her own interpretation/arrangement but still shows plenty of respect to the original.
Best thing was to see Joni Mitchell, who was there, up and about.
sorry if it's blocked in your neck of the woods.

Eclectic tastes that include (amongst others) rock, jazz, blues and old soul. Partial to a sweet lead guitar or a burst of grooving sax.
Nothing currently playing...
