Born Of Frustration
by James
#10LPS

In the early 1990’s the track ‘Sit Down’ by James was on almost constant rotation on ‘yoof’ TV & radio in the UK and they filled the pages of the music press. In 1992 they released their fourth album ‘Seven’ and I bought it just to see what all the fuss was about. Now there aren’t many albums I can say on first play made me stop whatever I’m doing and give my total concentration but this was one of them. I think it’s an absolute corker. The track running order has been well thought out, and there are lots of great hooks & sing-a-long choruses. I’ve never bought or even listened to any of their other albums, probably in the thought that they ain’t gonna top this masterpiece!

Sit down and have a frustration free weekend my little chump chops* !

I’ve tried many times to replicate the Tim Booth ‘howl’ on this track but end up sounding like someone choking on a ‘Werthers Original’.
