Songs I slammed to throughout the late 70s

I have just read the book, "Clothes, Music, Boys". An autobiography by The Slits' guitarist Viv Albertine ( the blonde one on the left, above ) and it must be the most entertaining rock biog that I have ever read. Fascinating insight to her relationships with Mick Jones, Sid Vicious, Johnny Thunders & Johnny Rotten, she is SO honest & brazen that it almost hurts!...and she puts it all across in such a sweet unassuming way too...HIGHLY recommended!

This track was recorded as part of a BBC session on the legendary "John Peel Show" This was before they even had a record contract & they could barely play their instruments ( they only bought them a few months before) and yet....in my mind, the 7 tracks they recorded ( over 2 sessions) were the best things they ever done. It was their staggering determination to record something that would leave an impression and the FEROCITY of their recordings done exactly that.! ( This track here was the "laid-back" one!! )
Never let it be said that a lack of technical ability can stop you from producing great Art.

*****Btw, I LOVE the bit in this video where they get told off like naughty school girls by a store manager after rampaging around the shop like lunatics with a trolley! HaHa!
