You've Got My Number (Why Don't You Use It? )
by The Undertones
These northern Ireland boys knew how to rock and they knew how to roll. This was released as a single. Only one of 2 single releases of theirs. It was later released as a bonus track on their second album and on a few more compilation albums in the years to follow. The first time I heard them I was hooked. I can say this was the only cover song that our band Secret Word played during the first 5 years we were together in Boston. Ya know we had to love it lots to actually do a song that wasn't our own lol. They had so many amazing songs and tons of high energy to boot.Hope you enjoy. The fact that they're from Ireland has nothing to do with why I think they're so awesome.
1979 - Sire - Ireland - Still one of the most important and overlooked bands in rock n roll history as far as I'm concerned. Love'em.
