Take Five (Live)
by George Benson
#AprilMusicChallenge Day 30: It’s international Jazz day. Let’s end this thing with something jazzy.

And so it ends. Thank you for playing. We have some lovely parting gifts. ;-)

"Take Five" is a jazz standard which is the biggest-selling jazz single ever. It was originally recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1959, and was written by their alto saxophonist Paul Desmond.

Guitarist George Benson's version was originally released on his 1974 album "Bad Benson." I have previously jammed the studio version for one of George's birthdays. https://www.godsjukebox.com/kzone8/george-benson-take-five/

This live version is from a 1986 live session at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It features saxophonist Sadao Watanabe and Mr. Benson shredding on guitar.

Here is a live version of "Take Five" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet posted here by @aberrantanna in 2015: https://www.godsjukebox.com/aberrantanna/dave-brubeck-take-five/
