leejohnson's current selection is:
The Supermen
by David Bowie

#1970 #MyMetalMonth

[*Bit of a cheat, number two - in order to accommodate my usual posting of one Bowie track every seven, I've allowed him to transfer from 'glam' to 'heavy rock' for just two numbers in November. And they're both heavy tracks anyway.]

Year and chart position(s): 1972, UK No. 2, US No. 71

Year and chart position(s): 1973, UK No. 1, US No. 17

Classic members' line-up: David Bowie, Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder, Woody Woodmansey

Born in 1954, leaving education by 1972, 'glam' was my thing, "Ziggy" Bowie my hero. I was even the only guy in my town with the haircut (though not the carrot red colouring!). Therefore every seventh selection is a Bowie track.
