She's Not There (Best Zombies Cover!)
by Santana
Dearest Friends and Fiends,

#1977 in Nor Cali at it's best? #Santana covering the #Zombies , from CRAZY/Fab Double Album, #Moonflower . I rest my case:

A cover version of the Zombies' mid-1960s hit song "She's Not There" was released as a single and peaked at #27. The song was the first Santana recording to hit the Top 40 of the Billboard charts since "No One to Depend On" reached #36 in 1972. The album reached #10 on the Billboard charts and was eventually certified platinum, neither of which occurred again until the star-studded Supernatural in 1999.

Me? Love the Orig, from the Zombies #1964 : https://youtu.be/_2hXBf1DakE

Moonflower is a double album released in 1977 by Santana. The recording features both studio and live tracks, which are interspersed with one another throughout the album. It is perhaps the group's most popular live album, because Lotus did not receive a U.S. domestic release until 1991.

Highlight from above? You got it: Moonflower is a 16-track double album with 8 new studio recordings and 8 live performances (5 of those songs appeared on the previous 2 albums). It’s also noteworthy for introducing several musicians who would stay with the band for at least another few years: drummer Graham Lear, lead singer Greg Walker and bassist David Margen. Of the studio tracks, their brilliant re-working of The Zombies’ “She’s Not There” is certainly a highlight, returning them to the Top 40 for the first time in 5 years.

IF want and NEED a #SundaySoother , I'll always direct to #1978 and Stormy (SOB/Joy!):

Kisses and Enjoy!

Why is GJB calling it #1977released or whatever...I trust ya but I'm not going there. Lesa is STUBBORN:)

PS? Ya want some of that Nor Cali love, from that time, I think there is a fab #youtubehole hear/here to be found.
1977 - Columbia - United States - I'm IN for #1977 , plus BONUS Santana and ORIG Zombies for Sunday:)

2019 Profile Update:I AM still LAZY! Ziggy the Pooch is my Main Man (RIP 6/21/18). Boutique Destination for YOU! Into Digging Deep for LIVE #lesalikesitlive (if possible), Page a Pal: Find someone that will like a tune and pg them? Umm, terrible at hit backs, but try best (pg me in current post for best results). I'm a go-to for GJB hacks. FYI: Unlike, like again to keep in top 4 likes; add a comment to song name; it won't interfere w/who did first, etc. You are WELCOME:).. .Yup, I'm a child of Hippies - so loads of taste/stories. I'm a PROUD transplant from TIMJ, then LL/that other thing before the group JUMP to GJB:). I'll go to songs I like (pg in current will get a hit back as I gave up a few years ago on checking emails). Always looking for something new for me and you/sharing something from past. This is where I'm supposed to list all my music tastes (See that GJB kinda does IT?/Not really accurate...). WELL, if ya don't know me by now, check out my archives-There is SOMETHING there for you:) I love my GJB Friends and Fiends - the happy chatter and the puns, and I love pages and bonus tracks. I am so grateful for the deep knowledge when we dig deep:). Enjoy and Kisses! ...and a small x.
