Christmas Letters
by Carol Ford
Carol Ford is best known for her 1964 single 'Run Baby' that has been juked before by @shitsterbauer

This self-written funky Xmas-track with a somewhat schmaltzy lyric is from 1968. It was originally released via King Records. It must have been one of their last releases. According to Discogs, King was a prominent record label from Cincinnati, Ohio from 1943 until 1968.

Carol Ford became Rev. Carolyn Ford-Griffiths. She was the mother of 80s R&B/ Soul singers Penny Ford and Sharon Redd. Their father is Gene Redd, who co-wrote and produced the records that Carol Ford released. Ford stayed in Cincinnati. She founded a church and became an important community leader in one of the poorer parts of the City until her passing in 2007. I could not find a picture of her.
