This World Is So Fucked Up (But I Ain't Ever Giving Up On It)
by Michael Franti
I saw Michael Franti play live last night at the Jazz Cafe in London and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to in my life. This man has so much heart and a real gift for creating an uplifting happy atmosphere.

While we were in the queue waiting to go in he came out and hugged everyone and shook hands and people took selfies with him, and it really set the tone for what was to come. The most energising, optimistic party of a gig that I've ever been to. His wife came out on stage to sing with him, his baby son was featured in some really touching videos at the start and finish of the gig, he was up on the balcony and in among the crowd, he had people on stage from the audience joining in. Can you tell I'm still on a high about it? I feel like he rebooted my optimism.

If you get a chance to see him, take it. Wear comfy shoes.
