I'm going to be posting under the hashtag #WhenLifeGetsOverwhelming which I picked up from @ChrissyB on my post of the amazing demo of Paul Simon's Slip Sliding Away: https://www.godsjukebox.com/thatguyaz/paul-simon-slip-slidin-away-demo/

These are songs which I can put on to wash away the layered anxiety of my life, lower my heart rate, and reduce my urge to kill people who probably really deserve it.

I remember "Adiemus" from the "Pure Moods" compilation albums which were advertised during commercials on late-night TV in the 1990s. I learned tonight that this song was the lead track to a multi-album project by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins - not a song by a group of the same name, which I think is the way it was attributed in the Pure Moods commercials. The Wiki says the song was attributed to Enya, but the vocals are actually by South African singer Miriam Stockley and Englishwoman Mary Carewe.

The track was recorded in 1994 and was used in various places by Delta Airlines before its release in 1995. Listening to it is like pouring cool liquid on my rage.
1995 - Caroline Distribution - United Kingdom - From the album "Adiemus: Songs of Sanctuary"
