#aprilmusicchallenge Day 21: A song that makes you wanna strut your fabulous stuff

Actually, this was also a leftover from Day 10 (Your favorite 90's eurodance song) which I'm shocked none of you posted. La Bouche formed in Germany in 1994, and was fronted by American singer Melanie Thornton and American rapper/singer Lane McCray. This was their second and biggest hit, reaching #6 in the US and #27 in the UK (a remix of the same song reached #25 in the UK in 1996).

I went through a dance music phase around this time and remember all the words to this including (awwww yeah) the rap bridge. I had a friend who was obsessed with this band, and played their whole CD which was not all that great - but I still like this song.

Thornton left La Bouche in 2000 to go solo, and charted hits in Germany. Her solo career was cut short when she was killed in the crash of Crossair Flight 3597 near Zurich on November 24, 2001. Ironically her solo album, released in May of 2001, was titled "Ready to Fly."
